A Film About A Fort

Dear Friend,

I deeply thank you for our conversation last Thursday. I have been thinking thoroughly about the concept that we live and breathe in abandoned homes and living metaphors. Collections of insects and objects soaked in the stories of other people: inner architecture. You may say it’s fiction, but I choose to believe. In the forest this morning I dealt with the sting of restlessness as I traced the flight paths of hummingbirds above me. I relived moments under evergreen boughs where an aged friend with seasoned skin and a glowing grin once told me this simple truth, “The world will never lack for wonders, only wonder.” Be well as you light the rooms within yourself that need illuminating. Stay curious as life will often attempt to crush your wonderings, and keep fresh the faces of those with whom you explore. Life is always an adventure if you let it be. May your mind be a mansion for all lovely thoughts to dwell.

Hanging by a thread,

Augustine Greane
